In his most recent short film, “Lila”, Carlos brings fantasy and real
life together. Here his characters, as always, have a pinch of magic and
naivety; with personalities that reflect their innermost fears, hopes
and personal conflicts. They are joyous but also painfully human,
helping the audience to quickly relate to them on a deeper level. “Lila”
features one of his most charming characters yet, and its style of live
action combined with animation is executed in an original and
innovative way allowing his narrative and heartfelt storytelling style
to blossom.
